Description
Microbiome lysis kit is designed for isolation of microbial DNA from fecal and environmental samples (soil, activated sediment, compost) using the MagnifiQ Genomic series kits and Genomic Mini Universal kit. Cell lysis is the first and crucial step in successful DNA isolation. The aim of lysis is to quickly and thoroughly break down cells in a sample to release nucleic acids into the lysate. Application of a special set of solutions together with mechanical lysis by zirconia/silica beads ensures effective lysis of microbial cells present in the sample.
